Sewing Machine Operator I
Help build every Lynx Defense bag by hand.
Lynx Defense builds range bags and soft goods in Selma, North Carolina. Every bag is cut and sewn in-house, so the production team is the company — what leaves our door is exactly what this team made.
This is an entry-level, part-time position operating industrial sewing machines. No prior sewing experience is required. If you have sewn before, or you are comfortable around sewing machines, that is a real head start — but we train from the ground up, and steady hands and reliability matter more than a resume.
What you'll do
- Operate industrial sewing machines to assemble bags and soft goods
- Follow build specifications and hit our quality standards on every piece
- Work through structured, hands-on training as you learn each machine
- Work with the rest of the production team to meet daily goals
- Inspect your own work for accuracy before it moves down the line
- Keep your workstation clean, organized and safe
What we're looking for
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic
- Ability to follow detailed instructions closely
- Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
- Willingness to learn and take feedback during training
- Comfortable working as part of a small team
- Comfortable working around firearms and firearms-related products
Experience with sewing or sewing machines is helpful, but it is not required. We will teach you everything you need to know on the job.
Physical requirements
- Sitting or standing at a machine for extended periods
- Repetitive use of hands and fingers
- Occasionally lifting up to 25 lbs.
- Vision adequate for close, detailed work
