What the AR Should Have Been
The AR-180 was ArmaLite's "what if we didn't need that buffer tube?" design. Stoner's partner Art Miller figured out how to make an AR-pattern rifle that actually folded. Then the design disappeared for decades. Brownells brought it back.
The BRN-180 isn't an AR-15 with a folder bolted on. It's the other AR - the one that gets truly compact.
True Folding Stock
No adapter. No pretending. The stock folds because the action doesn't need a buffer tube. This is what everyone tries to replicate with complicated adapters.
BRN-180 Specs
- Folded: Whatever barrel length + a few inches
- Extended: Standard AR length
- Uppers: 5.56 and .300 BLK
- The magic: Piston-driven, self-contained upper
Compact Carry
Folded, the BRN-180 fits bags that ARs can't. Our Bureau handles both configurations with room for essentials.
The Other AR
You chose the path less traveled. Our bags support that decision.
