What Makes the Staccato P the Duty 2011
The P sits in the middle of Staccato's lineup — a 4.4" bull barrel and a full-size frame that earned the platform its reputation in law enforcement adoption. The grip frame is the family signature: wider than a Glock 17 or P320 by about 0.15", with the 1911-style flat-front grip and the higher beavertail. In a padded pistol bay, that translates to a gun that sits a little taller and a little fuller in the slot than a comparable striker-fired duty pistol.
The 17+1 capacity puts the P in the same loadout class as a Glock 17 or Sig P320 Full Size — same number of rounds in a slightly shorter overall envelope, with the slimmer 2011 slide on top.
The P With a Red Dot
The Staccato P ships with the DPO optics cut, which uses the Trijicon RMR footprint. With an RMR or SRO mounted, the slide stays under our pistol bag insert lid clearance — these bays were sized for duty pistols carrying optics, so a Staccato P with a dot lands the same way an iron-sighted version does. SRO users running the larger window should double-check clearance on close.
Mag Storage for the Duty 2011
The P ships with 17-round 9mm mags as standard, with 20-round extended options for higher-cap loadouts. Both sit upright in our pistol-bay mag pockets without crushing the basepad. Carrying a duty-style loadout (gun plus three or four spare mags) fits into the Concord with room left for a tourniquet, eye pro, and a small medkit — the standard agency range bag setup.
Recommended Bags for the P
Best fits in our lineup, based on hands-on testing: the Concord for full duty loadouts (the P drops into a Concord pistol bay cleanly), the Valkyrie for tighter range bag setups, and the Pistol Bag for one-pistol carry to the range. The wider 2011 grip is no concern across this range — these bays were built for duty-class pistols.
