What Makes the Staccato XC a Race Gun

The XC is the top of Staccato's lineup — a 5" bull barrel with an integrally machined compensator that drops the muzzle flip to almost nothing for fast follow-up shots. Overall length is 9.35" with the comp, making the XC the longest pistol in the family by half an inch over the P. Optics-ready out of the box, with the same DPO cut that the P uses.

That extra length is the bag-fitment story for the XC. Pistol bays sized for a duty-pistol envelope can fit the XC, but the muzzle pokes closer to the bay's forward wall, and shorter pistol cases become a snug fit rather than a comfortable one. The right answer is a bag with a longer pistol bay.

The XC With a Red Dot

The XC's optics cut accepts the same Trijicon RMR / SRO / DPP footprint as the rest of the Staccato family. With a dot mounted, the slide profile stays under our pistol bag insert lid clearance. Optic height isn't the limiting dimension here — overall length is, because of the comp.

Mag Storage for the Competition 2011

XC shooters tend to run the longer competition magazines — 140mm and 170mm IPSC-legal lengths in 9mm, holding 20 to 26 rounds depending on the build. Tall mags want a bag with deep mag pockets; the standard 17-round mags fit our pistol bays fine, but the 140mm and 170mm options need the longer pockets in the Concord to sit upright without compressing the basepad.

Best fits in our lineup, based on hands-on testing: the Concord is the natural answer for the XC — the longer pistol bay accommodates the 9.35" overall length cleanly, with mag pockets sized for IPSC competition mags. The Valkyrie works for shorter loadouts where the comp clears the bay walls. The Pistol Bag fits the XC but reads as snug rather than roomy — fine for short carries, less ideal for long match-day setups.
