Lynx Defense Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) describes how Lynx Defense (“Lynx Defense,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects information about you when you visit or use our websites , purchase our products, interact with our content, contact us, or otherwise engage with our services (collectively, the “Services”).
By using the Services, you agree to the practices described in this Policy.
1) Information We Collect
We collect information in three main ways: (a) information you provide, (b) information collected automatically when you use the Services, and (c) information from service providers needed to complete transactions or provide Services.
A. Information you provide to us
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:
Contact and account information
- First and last name
- Email address
- Phone number
- Mailing / shipping address
- Account details you choose to provide (if we offer accounts)
Order and transaction information
- Products purchased, order history, and shipping details
- Communications about your order (support messages, delivery issues, returns, etc.)
Payment information
- Payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store your full payment card number on our servers.
- Stripe may collect and process payment card details and other payment-related information to complete your transaction.
Survey / demographic information (optional)
- We may request optional demographic information (such as age and gender) on certain forms (for example, surveys) to better understand our customer base and help build more meaningful products.
- You can choose not to provide this information unless a particular form clearly indicates it is required.
Customer support and communications
- Information you provide when you email us, use contact forms, or otherwise communicate with us (including the content of your messages and attachments, if any).
B. Information collected automatically
When you use the Services, we may automatically collect certain information, such as:
- IP address
- Device type, browser type, and operating system
- Pages viewed, links clicked, and referring/exit pages
- Approximate location (derived from IP address)
- Dates/times of access and activity on the site
We currently use first-party analytics (our own analytics) rather than third-party analytics providers. See Section 5 for more detail.
C. Information from service providers
We may receive limited information from service providers necessary to provide the Services, such as:
- Payment confirmation, fraud signals, and transaction metadata from Stripe
- Delivery/shipping updates from shipping and fulfillment partners
- Email delivery events (for example, delivery or bounce status) from our email service provider (Amazon SES)
2) How We Use Information
We use information for the following business purposes:
Provide and operate the Services
- Process orders, payments, shipping, returns, and customer support
- Provide requested products, services, and information
- Maintain and improve website performance and reliability
Communicate with you
- Send order confirmations, shipping notifications, and transactional messages
- Respond to questions, requests, and support inquiries
Improve our products and customer experience
- Understand how customers use our site and content
- Use optional survey/demographic information in aggregate to guide product planning and improvements
Marketing (where permitted)
- Send promotional emails or announcements (you can opt out at any time—see Section 6)
Security, fraud prevention, and legal compliance
- Protect the Services, our customers, and Lynx Defense from fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access
- Comply with legal obligations, enforce agreements, and resolve disputes
3) How We Disclose Information
A. We do not sell or rent personal information
We do not sell, rent, or lease customer personal information to third parties.
B. We do not share personal information for independent third-party marketing
We do not provide your personal information to third parties for their own independent marketing purposes.
C. We share information with service providers (only as needed)
We may share information with vetted service providers that help us operate the Services and run our business, including:
- Payment processing: Stripe
- Email delivery: Amazon SES
- Site performance and security: Cloudflare
- Shipping / fulfillment partners: carriers and logistics providers as needed to deliver orders
- Hosting and infrastructure providers: vendors that host or store data for the Services
- Customer support tools: if used to manage support requests
These providers are permitted to use personal information only to perform services on our behalf and are required to protect it.
D. Legal and safety disclosures
We may disclose information if we believe doing so is reasonably necessary to:
- Comply with law, legal process, or governmental requests
- Enforce our terms, policies, or agreements
- Detect, prevent, or address fraud, security, or technical issues
- Protect the rights, property, and safety of Lynx Defense, our customers, or the public
4) Firearm-Related Data
We respect customer privacy, especially in a sensitive industry.
We do not collect or store firearm serial numbers, nor do we maintain firearm ownership records beyond what is required to complete a transaction.
5) Cookies, Similar Technologies, and Analytics
A. Cookies and similar technologies
We may use cookies and similar technologies (for example, local storage) to:
- Keep the site functioning correctly
- Remember preferences (where available)
- Maintain security
- Support basic performance measurement and debugging
Some cookies are necessary for the Services to function properly. If you choose to disable cookies in your browser, portions of the Services may not work correctly.
B. First-party analytics
We currently use first-party analytics (analytics we run ourselves) rather than third-party analytics platforms. These analytics help us understand site usage and improve performance.
C. Future marketing pixels / targeted advertising
We may choose to add advertising pixels or targeted advertising tools in the future. If we do, we will:
- Update this Policy to reflect the new practices, and
- Implement an appropriate notice and consent mechanism where required by applicable law.
(As of the effective date listed above, we do not use third-party ad pixels for cross-site targeted advertising.)
6) Email and Marketing Communications
A. Transactional emails
We may send emails related to your orders and account activity (for example, order confirmations, shipping updates, and support responses). These are not marketing emails.
B. Marketing emails
If you receive promotional emails from us, you can opt out at any time by:
- Clicking the unsubscribe link in the email, or
- Contacting us using the information in Section 11
C. Email engagement data
To help us improve email delivery and communication quality, we may receive information about email delivery events (for example, whether an email was delivered or bounced). We do not currently use third-party tracking for targeted advertising.
7) Data Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to:
- Provide the Services
- Maintain business records
- Meet legal, tax, accounting, and compliance obligations
- Resolve disputes and enforce agreements
- Maintain security and prevent fraud
Retention periods vary depending on the type of information and the reason we collected it.
8) Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure.
Examples include:
- Encryption in transit (such as TLS/SSL) where applicable
- Security and performance services (such as Cloudflare) to help protect the Services
No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we work to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9) Your Privacy Rights and Requests
Residents of certain U.S. states may have additional privacy rights under applicable laws (which may include rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of personal information, and to opt out of certain processing in specific circumstances).

- The email address and/or order information associated with your request
- The specific request you are making (access, deletion, correction, portability, etc.)

To protect your privacy, we may need to verify your identity before responding. Verification may include confirming information associated with prior orders or communications.
C. Types of requests you may make (where applicable)
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate personal information
- Delete personal information (subject to exceptions)
- Obtain a copy of certain personal information (data portability)
- Opt out of certain processing (where applicable)
D. Deletion request exceptions
We may deny or limit deletion requests when retaining information is necessary to:
- Complete a transaction, provide a requested service, or perform a contract
- Detect or prevent fraud and security incidents
- Debug and repair issues
- Comply with legal obligations (tax, accounting, warranty, recordkeeping)
- Exercise or defend legal claims
- Use information internally in a lawful manner consistent with the context in which it was provided
E. Non-discrimination
We will not discriminate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights.
10) Children’s Privacy
Our Services are not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
11) External Links
Our Services may contain links to third-party sites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies when you leave our Services.
12) Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our practices, technology, or legal requirements. When we make changes, we will update the “Effective Date” (and/or “last updated” date) at the top of this Policy. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice as required by law.
Your continued use of the Services after an update means you accept the revised Policy.
