Ranger Green EDC backpack
My first impression was wow this is a very well made backpack! I’ve been using my 5.11 backpack for many years and the zipper ended up failing a couple of weeks ago. This is was made me look for an all American made backpack which was hard to find until I came across Lynx. I’m very pleased so far with the quality of this backpack. The zipper on the Lynx backpack seems over built and extremely durable. Also the size of the backpack is perfect it’s not too big and not too small. Lynx offers a number of cool colors you can get, I got the ranger green. If Lynx came out with another version I’d definitely buy it! If they do make another version one day I’d like to see some inside pockets for my passport and things like my wallet or maybe a netted pocket. Overall, I highly recommend this backpack very well made and it’s 100% USA made.
Got the bag for vacation, to keep jackets, chargers, etc with us in DC. we looked at bag restrictions and they are all about the same 18x 14x8.5. This bag is slides in just under it.
What it carries is incredible, I have had it loaded full with cans of dog food, heavy but no problem. Tons of ammo for a range day, it was great. This bag a great all round option.
Almost perfect. I never leave reviews but I wanted to in the hopes somebody at Lynx sees this and improves it. This bag needs a little structural padding... something to hold its shape as the outside pockets get loaded. If you put any weight in there, the bag will collapse in on itself. I like to use this for range work too, and there's absolutely no padding or structural rigidity in the main compartment, so if I don't pack my pistol(s) well, I'm nervous to throw the bag around as one should be able to given the materials used in its construction. A little padding in the shoulder straps wouldn't hurt either. The materials used can obviously support a decent amount of weight... the straps should be able to support that comfortably as well.
Some friends recommended cutting a little cardboard out to lay into the bottom of the pack, so I'll try that. I'm also going to try the soft armor insert as well... that might help too.
Otherwise, I love this backpack, and I keep coming back to it every time I think I've found a new range bag to try. I have an addiction to bags and I keep coming back to this EDC pack, so that's a great sign.
